BBC Frontline Medicine - brilliant but also REALLY spooky
« on: 21 November 2011, 20:26:18 »

Ok, last night we watched the superb BBC prog - Frontline Medicine with Michael Mosley. It was mostly in Camp Bastion in Afghan.

I now know for a fact that it was filmed on the 10th May as that's the day our Ian got bown up by an IED out there.

This didn't come to light until just now when we were watching it again on the iPlayer, with Ian, and he said "it's me!". Stop, rewind and yes indeed it was.

If you care to look it's him 0.38 secs into the program being slid into the cat scanner. He features a couple of times later about 5 mins in. He recalls there being a fim crew there @ the time.

Am downloading it now for further scrutiny.

Rest of the series  defo worth a look  :y

Incredible amount of respect for the lads and lasses who work out there  :y

All NHS hostpital staff should do a 3 month tour out there.
I would teach them a hell of alot about "real care", not the crap they dish out in some hostpitals in the UK  ;)
