Audi, FFS!
« on: 28 November 2011, 12:33:03 »

Girl I work with has an 05 TT and the small wire spring clip holding the headlight bulb in has snapped, you guessed it it's only available as a complete unit.................£270 !

I will be conducting some serious paper clip bodgery after removing the headlight..........which requires the bumper removing first >:( ::)

I would try German ebay or the like. Individual parts allways used to be available in Germany. I hit a pidgeon in Germany and needed the plastic mounts for the headlight, cost something stupid like 25cents each for the three, that was on a VW.

Or try a bit of welding rod, bit thicker than a paper clip.  :y

As there are a limited number of types of bulb H7 H1 etc, I'm sure that the holders are the same or very similar across all makes of car. how about a tour of local scrap yards - A N Other VAG car will surely have the clip you need  :-\

Ah, but *any* bulb on an Audi is a "take it to your nearest Audi dealer" job anyway, so only "skilled" people would be able to break them
