I am giving my Miggy a full service, she has 13600 miles on the clock and she is a 2.2 Diesel. I am considering sending my Injectors away for refurbishing, on of the guys at work told me there is an engineering firm that does this. Has anybody had this done, and is it effective.

In would say that, unless you have a specific problem, it's not worth the expense, especially at such a low mileage. Give it a dose of diesel magic  if you're concerned.

I put 13600 miles on my original post I meant 136000 miles. Duhhh.

I think a servive on your injectors is a good idea at that sort of miles

only use a diesel engineering company

there will adjust the blow off pressures etc

try using engine oil as a lubricant in the fuel tank this will lubricate the pump and the injectors

300ml of synthetic two stroke oil with every full tank of diesel is recomended and try at all costs to avoid the 'ultra low sulpher' diesels sold by the supermarkets.

If you are changing the fuel filter then I would suggest draining the fuel from the drain plug in the bottom of the filter housing (should hopefully drain any water and sediment out then) and then top up to the brim with 'diesel magic' after the new filter has been fitted, if you do this with the engine hot you should be able restart the car...... once started hold the revs at 3K for 5 mins and watch the neighbourhood disappear in a cloud of black smoke

Don't touch the injectors unless it's running like a bag of bolts for now just put forte diesel treatment in the filter every 3500 miles(mind a new filter to)
