If you keep an eye on Lidl or Aldi, they frequently sell a cheapo version of a CTek charger. I have two of them, one permanently connected to the battery in my caravan so that it can take over charging/monitoring while plugged in on the drive and as a back-up to the onboard charger - just in case, and another (the new one has a digi display) for general use. They're small enough that you can find a space under the bonnet so you can close it when charging. They were both around £13  :y :y
