The Commodore and Lumina share the same chassis as the Omega with minor differences to the lights and body panels, there was a guy on ABS a few years ago with a V6 twin turbo Commodore, just imagine a black Omega with a 2nd generation Monaro VXR front end on and you`ll get the picture 
One of the difficulties of fitting a V8 to the Omega is that the RH exhaust manifold fouls the steering box, IIRC tha Commodores have a steering rack instead of the recirculating ball type steering box of the Omega.

Commodore and Lumina ARE NOT same chassis as Omega. ( I do have both )

the V-car underpinnings were made available to Holden, who used some elements of them for the VT and VX Commodore. But, the Aussie cars have longer wheelbase and are wider. Some of the underpinning metalwork is the same, such as floorpans, inner wings and boot floor, plus front chassis members ( just further apart ).

None of the outer bodywork is the same as Omega B

Front suspension is totally different, with a Monza-style wishbone. Rear suspension is similar - same cross-member but wider, same semi-trailing arms. Diff is not the same - Commodore uses BTR diff from Lotus Carlton or TVR, mated to bigger driveshafts and Lotus Carlton rear wheel bearings.
