Vx winter service.
« on: 15 January 2012, 18:32:49 »

Got a leaflet though the door yesterday advertising new models, mobility deals, etc but on the back there was an offer for a winter service for £129. Doesn't explain what is included, but it does come with a free set of 'snow socks'. No mention of V6 being excluded either.
Is it worth a stamp in the service book?
IMO probably not, but just thought I'd seek your views  :y

I genuinely thin you might aswell burn the money. They'll probably do nothing to the car apart from look for work to bill you over the top for.

It makes me laugh when you see independents offering a 'special' mot and service for £75 or £99 etc. given that the mot costs circa £40, the remainder would barely pay for a full set of service items at trade cost, let alone wages and overheads.

I'd stay away

Wouldn't ever let them near my motor again!

I heard the advert on the radio... ''let your expert vauxhall dealer blah, blah, blah''

And what the fek are winter socks? For the owner or the car? lol  :D

The socks are for the car (I guess they're the equivalent of snow chains?) but might be for the owner right enough, to walk home in when he finds the 'experts' have wrecked his car  ;D :'(
