Misfire ( I think )
« on: 17 January 2012, 20:14:10 »

During the summer (about a month after the lpg conversion), my shed on wheels decided to start poping and farting about 4000 rpm when I accelerated very hard.
Over the last couple of months, the engine would seem to hunt at idle but no air leak could be found.

Just had the car off the road for some well overdue maintenence ( coolant flush / antifreeze change, oil and plugs change and replacement of the utility belt tensioner.

On inspection of the plugs, No1 had a crack on the ceramic at the base and No5 had no centre electrode  :o. It had been burnt away totally  :o
After putting it all back together, I expected it all to be ok but sadly its not the case  :'(
I've still got the same simptoms  :'(

I am now thinking that the coil pack is on its way out   :'(

Any idea's please

Sorry, the crack was on plug No1, the burnt out electrode was on plug No 4  ::) :-[

Only codes are the Idle control valve because I forgot to reconect the plug on it before I fired it up  :-[ :-[

Codes now clear  :y

Yup, all back together and running ok until you floor it and the revs go through about 4000 then its bang bang bang  :(    feels like its underneath the car around the exhaust area  :'( :'(

Can someone on here confirm that the 2.5 / 3ltr coil pack is split up into 3 units.
I'm thinking ............... 3/6, 2/4, and 1/5  :-\
If i've got the order right, I'm thinking that 1 third of the coil pack is breaking down  :-\
