Hi all
       Just had the car fault codes read on 2.2cdx 02 plate at my sons garage, showed P1781 ecm actual torque signal malfunction detected. Checked on a list I found on here and can't find that code in the list. Warning light has since gone out, first light was engine electronics, that went out when I switched of and restarted the engine and was replaced by exhaust emission light which has also since stopped appearing. At no time was the running or starting affected. Anyone know what the message means in plain English please.

P1781 is a CANBUS error code non specific to the 2.2 but common when the cam sensor starts to play up.

Emissions lights are common on 2.2's normally related to pre-cats.
