if we are moving off the engine issue then springs have been quite a problem although (touch wood) not for us in 70000 miles and if it appears noisy you might find that the acoustic sump tray has disappeared - usual issues like tyre wear similar to Omega and you will get a droning noise from rear worn tyres which many confuse with wheel bearing faults.

I see a lot of front wheel drive car's with that problem, the inner edges of the rear tyre get lumpy and the noise that's produced is much the same as a worn bearing as you say.

Precisely - as I found out to my cost - 25000 miles plus on first set of tyres and then a disaster at around 40000 - tyres replaced and wore again  in just a few 000s - set up completely out - must have been when they were messing with 2nd dmf change

Rears are fully adjustable to, they have offset bolts for adjustment.
