Auto sets system to automatically decide where it wants to put how much air volume.  You pushing the fan down/reduce button reduces fan speed.  or does on my facelift anyway.

Small button, extreme left.  Each time you press it one of the bars on the screen reduces as does fan speed.  Likewise, larger fan button next to the small one increases fan speed and display by an increment each time you press?

Facelift climates have 2 possible configs, one has a more agressive fan speed than other.  Demist setting will always turn fan on full, by design.

the 2 fan buttons, pictured by a big fan and a little fan control fan speed manually. Set to 4 bars on display put is back into "climate controls fan speed".

Prefacelift climate panels work on similar principle, but only way to get it back to auto fans is to press Auto, that sets everything the climate does to auto.

cheers for the info guys..BUT...when i press the "small" fan button to turn down fan it doesnt seem to turn down?....why would this be?
had the fan direction on my feet before...temp control on 28deg....but the fan would nt turn down...
depress the screen button and i can alter the fan control no problem,as soon as i press the feet button...i had not control over the fan speed?
nope this makes sense ? lol

Try doing a 'reset'. Press the Auto and Off buttons at the same time for a few seconds until you hear a sound like a hive of grumpy wasps (all the servo motors resetting ;)) :y
