i can see the moon when its not out with my bins on  ;D ;D ;D ;D

You need to change your bins for differenter bins ..................... even I can see that there are two electrodes on the plug  ;D ;D ;D
[/quote i think you can see 1 is shorter than the other though ;)

I have my doubts.I would think it would get squashed, broken up, or blown out an exhaust port before doing that amount of damage. You never know though. :-\
The cause is academic to an extent though, as long as the offending item is no longer present. Fella needs to find out how potentially fatal the damage is by someone with enough experience to make a judgement call imo.

Bit of image manipulation and zooming in .. the left hand electrode is certainly missing about 1/3 to 1/2 of its tip. Whether that is sufficient to have caused that amount of damage is debatable though. :(

I think it's the angle of the dangle and all of both electrodes are present & correct  :y :y :y

IMO it's still all there, the curved bit up to the centre electrode is still clearly visible.  :y

Definitely a little piece missing from the one on the left.Dont believe for a minute though that it could have caused all that damage.

We'll agree to differ methinks .. :)

Mind you .. that enlarged piccy seems to show quite a "trough" of missing metal around the lower edge of the plug seat ... I wonder if a lump of seat has dropped off .. and what would cause that .. :(

I reckon the pic is off centre. Taken from the right slightly.

Electrode could have fallen off any plug at any time though...

Also if there is any part missing I'm sure the op would spot that himself, no?

What has caused it is somewhat irrelevant now though ;)

To the OP, IMHO you need to get that piston out and hone the bore... If it's only a light score you can probably get away with just honing it (gently) and re-using standard pistons with new rings :y But I'm not an expert and trying to diagnose these things without physically seeing/feeling them is very hard, so seek proper advice :y
