I had a C class a couple of years ago Webby. A piece of p1ss to work on compared to a v6 omega. :y
A basic service will take about an hour, including half hour teabreak. :y ;D

Not bumpin..... but just got this quote from Mercedes for my mate's parts..

£83.37 for one oil change (car takes 6.5L)  :o :o :o :o

Also safety cartridge???? Dust Filter????

I asked for a quote on oil, oil filter (got those) but what the fek is a safety cartridege? cabin filter perhaps? Dust filter is air filter perhaps?

Soooo unhelpful. To halfords it is

Easy to get to prices like that when they charge £110 labour. One of the Mercs I went to view the other week and the garage showed me the bill for recent work on it. There wasn't anything specific, but the total bill was around £950  :o :o :o

cheers for replies chaps. Thanks for clarifying that filter name thing. Just got the manual. OMG everything is easy access in the engine bay. Ha ha love it. Less time under the car is a bonus for me. The oil he's quoted for is 0w 30 diesel oil. Can i get the same GM stuff on TC? Cheers again chaps x

Well, got the parts for the Merc's service. Still got the oil, PAS fluid and ATF to get but anyone would think it was the car's Christmas looking at this... was there really any need to wrap them up lol  ::)

Can't quite believe it but Merc dealer was cheaper than Halfrauds and a lot cheaper than ECParts. WTF  ???
