So, seeing as my 3.2 cats are currently OK, is this mod worthwhile, either:

1) now
2) when precats fail, rather than move sensors

(all assuming my cats don't block)

?

I'd guess that your pre cats will be one of the very last to go, if my experience is anything to go by.


....although I guess that depends how often Mrs TB drives it. ;)

You are implying there is a performance/economy gain. Thus worth considering. Or are these gains purely because your old cats were shagged?

interesting question...

I suspect there to be gains, based on the size and shape of them....

But mine were totally shagged.

can i ask a stupid question but what has to be trimmed of to make the flanges mate up and i am guessing the lamba sensor wants to be in the same position roughly as it would be if the pre cat was fitted ?
