I really must give praise and my heartfelt thanks to Daz and Martin42 for their assistance in this matter. In the event I managed to get an old friend to take it to his garage and fix it at 'mates rates'.
But I am so thankful for the kind offer from Martin.
I really must put down here my thoughts concerning Daz. I met him for the first time last week when he serviced my Miggy, he did the job, I paid him, 'end'.
He owed me 'nothing'.  Over the last 2 days concerning my predicament, he has put himself out more than he needed to, and much more than I have any right to expect. Even so far as putting a request for help on the forum on my behalf. Something not discussed or mentioned between us, and something I simply did not consider, partly because of the state of my mind. A 'true friend'. I certainly know who I would want in my corner in a scrap/scrape, whatever.
'The true spirit of OOF'. Definately proven by Daz, and also Martin.
Not going to go on and on, but with all the negativity that has abounded of late, it pleases me to be able to heap deserved praise. Thank you fellas.. Rob.  :y

I sincerely hope I haven't put anything in my post that I shouldn't ? Haven't recovered yet from my previous 'slating'.  ;)

Seems I saved you a wasted journey Martin. Went to my mates garage and he had the front stripped down. The tensioner pulley had seized, hence I imagine the destroyed auxiliary belt which had, wound itself round and round the crankshaft, and forced its way between the timing belt and the bottom pulley. No wonder the engine lumped like a demented camel for a couple of seconds before I switched off. So, back to the drawing board. But thanks again for the kind offer..  :y
