Indeed - I really need to build a workshop on the side of the garage to house the ever growing array of tools (like the lathe) and get them out of the garage .. but a ready built will cost me a fortune.

Perhaps I should try and price building one like this :)

Well I didn't work out how much it cost, but I reckon around £500 at the mo with reclaimed wood, screws, nails & roofing felt.

Damn sight cheaper than a ready made one, that's for sure! Probably double the cost using new materials everywhere, mind.. still a lot cheaper, though.

;D Well, first I do need to do some woodwork - the body is squatting in all the free space and it's impossible to move without three or four people and/or a crane.. so I need to build some huge wooden wheeled trolleys, preferably (headroom allowing) ones that let me store the body 'over' the chassis.

I do have a Jag diff in bits on the workbench, though. By gods that stank when I opened it! I thought 15 year old gearbox oil was bad, but 30+ year old diff oil takes the biscuit..

I suspended my bodywork from the ceiling to keep it out of the way. Then again, there wasn't much of it. ;D

;D Mine weighs more than the chassis did - I think it'd pull the roof down! With the two guys from Dax and me (one at the back, two at the front) we could only just carry it into the garage - I had to balance the arch on my shoulder to manage that, too ;D

Nice construction , i built mine out of reclaimed freebie wood and pallet boxes . Think how much that would cost if bought ready made  :o Well done it looks great and good enough to live in  :y

Ready made sheds are seriously expensive now :( And flimsy! I wonder how much it would cost to make something like the one shown here, without using reclaimed wood? Anyone care to estimate?

last one we built with concrete base 25ft x 10 ft £3k was fully boarded and insulated inside with elec and lighting etc

looks a good job V well done  :y :y done very well there for £500
