I avoid braking at all costs
You don't own a Passat, and demolished a lovely Rover back in February?

So I make that just under 15p mile? If I get 30mpg average on petrol in 3.2, with a working exhaust & actually connected to back box I think is possible. Thats 19.5p a mile, got 29mpg with my usual runs few tanks ago.

Really cuts into V6 LPG pay back :(
You'd probably achieve a lot more than I ever could would want to

But with your driving you'd get better lpg economy too ;)

The savings still work out to about 9-10p per mile however you look at it as several of us have proven over time ;)

I was always watching the consumption on the Omega, since I've had the V8 I no longer wish to know :'( :'(

Same since I got the Jeep, partly cos I don't know how to set up the computer and in American Gallons anyway...... ::) ::) ::)  As it happens £ wise I put in similar to the 2.2, the 2.6 is so much better on fuel and that is with swmbo driving... :D :D :D

The solution is to buy a 3.2 V6 Special!
Being poverty spec it doesn't have a trip and MPG computer, so I can drive around in bliss ignorance.
I will eventually get a real life MPG figure for it, but the 3.2 manual does infact seem marginally better than my 2.6 manual.
Something else interesting, well to me anyway  ;D is its co2 emissions.
2.6 manual saloon emits 257g/km
3.2 manual saloon emits 258g/km
3.2 auto saloon emits 284g/km
So, as we can see...it's saving the planet  ::)

I've got x2 of them  ;D
Actually, have a look in the for sale section, Damon80 has a very nice looking one  :y
Or, for ultimate economy, there was a special edition, it was the 'Flintstones' version, top speed is as much as 5mph  :y

;D I'll give you the best P/X deal possible Kevin - You know a nice 3.2 manual would fit nicely next to your Westfield  ::)
Actually, neither of the 3.2's are for sale. The white one I intend to keep for a long time, the black one for a year or so.

That's because I don't like Jeeps  ;D  ;D
Actually the WK is a good drive, never driven a WJ, but they're a lot of car.
I could never work out the US v UK functions on the WK, you could have celsius instead of farenheit, but then you'd be stuck with the odometer in KM/s rather than miles. Although I did hear there was a dealer only programme that could set it up however you wanted.

I did everything wrong when buying this car, I did not even drive it before purchase, from a well respected company though... :y
I was taken aback by it's handling, but having got used to it it is fine, and I love it, always puts a smile on my face when I drive it. :y  Mercedes engine and gearbox anyway. Going in for a full service, autobox and diffs, all oils, filters etc in a couple of weeks as this is a keeper.... :y You can't compare it to the Mig as they are very different cars / drives.
I am happy for the computer to read the outside temperature and leave it at that..... :y :y

Best ever LPG MPG ever today, despite it being a short fill. This car normally manages 17-18mpg, today 21.86 :D.  And it was only 70.9p, despite being a motorway services :o

How did you manage that? I get 17 - 18 mpg, but I seem to get the same even if I drive like Tunnie.

I'm guessing it included a decent long run :-\
