I was under the impression that all the London elevated sections where suffering similarly, are they...? Just m4 being worst.

Avoiding London at all costs has been my approach for years.

They reckon on Thursday morning...yeah right >:(

I travel from M4 Jct 10 every morning to central London or Canary Warf...this is really foooking things up. After this is finished then its "dodge the 'kin Olympic lanes" all over the main routes in London or face a 130 quid fine. After the Olympics its back to finishing off the 'kin work that still needs doing on the Hammersmith flyover. And no i wont be using a 'kin train from Reading, gave up on all public transport 20yrs ago. IVE HAD ENOUGH  >:( >:(

We should expect more of this sort of thing...  :-\

Many of these flyovers all over the country were built in the 1960's and are probably nearing the end of their lifespan.  What with maintenance budgets being cut and a few hard winters, the process has been accelerated....  :-\

A perfectly valid approach, and certainly the only sensible one :y
