« on: 12 July 2012, 10:46:47 »

Hello again..

Can you tell me how to configure my key to raise the windows when i lock the car. I have the standart two buttons key for Opel Omega estate. I just cannot find how to do it...

Many thanks in advance.

Press and hold the Alarm button down for more than a few seconds, also works with key in lock by turning fully to lock and again hold for a few seconds.

If its not working as above, guessing the batterys been removed / replaced or gone flat recently, so try recycling / reset all the windows and sunroof in both directions (if fitted).

It doesn't work.. I have the original alarm which is activated when you press the key twice.

Edit: I've tried to reset the windows but only in one direction.. I'll try in both directions

Pressing key a second time is for deadlocks.

edit. and the windows wont close if the alarm fob button is pressed twice. only first push and hold.

For windows to automatically close you need to keep the button pressed when locking doors

Do all the windows and sunroof again in both directions keep the window switch fully operation in one go and hold the for a further 5 seconds after its closed or opened.

When the windows are open and i close them and hold the button for 4-5 seconds there is a clicking. But when I do the same in the other direction, there is no sound.. I just tried to hold them when i was opening the windows and when i was closing them. The effect was zero... Do you think that I must remove first the battery to reset their memory? I don't have sunroof. Only 4 electrical windows

Edit: When I bought the car couple of years ago the battery in the key was dead and I don't know how long the car was opened only manual.

No need to remove battery, as long as all the windows and sunroof auto close or open with the switches, then its set. think your pressing the Fob twice, just press once and hold, windows and sunroof should close, after that action you can press the fob again to deadlock the car.

What happens if you try it using only the key in the lock, same principle by holding it fully for a few seconds.

Fairly sure with the locking of the Car and closing windows, it only gives you the option of doing it once, if interrupted at any point wont work again.

In my experience it doesn't matter when you hold the lock button.
Numerous times I've deadlocked the car and then walked around to the passenger side to find rear window been left open, pressing and holding the lock button should still activate full closure...
Also I've held the button whilst walking away from the vehicle and then had to go back towards it because the windows stopped going up, guess I'd gone out of range?

I know what you mean Rich, I had a FL MV6 Estate that did everything that you described above, then I had another Estate that didn't, only gave you one crack of the whip for closing windows etc, otherwise I had to unlock and start again.

Did ask the question many moons ago, and was told Estates lock up system is slightly different set up, due to how or what position the rear key has been left locked on the Tailgate when closing using the fob. ie whether the tailgate opens or not when using the fob and alarm not going off when only using the rear key.

Never did get my head around it from memory, as I couldn't seem to duplicate the difference between the two despite both being the same year.

I've tried almost anything, but with no result.. My fathers have a Omega 2.0 16V model 1996 and is working. Of course is not estate... I'll continue my attempts..
