No profit servicing for OOfers
« on: 17 July 2012, 10:40:01 »

Not wanting to count my chickens before they hatch but it seems like that after months of searching for a reasonable job one might be on the horizon so i'm just testing the water at the moment.

Because I might no longer have to do repairs on cars to pay my bills I was thinking its time to give a little something back to OOF.

I was thinking of doing cambelts, camcover gaskets, servicing ect on a couple of free Saturdays and it would be done on a no profit making way. I won't be travelling and all the jobs will have to be done at my garage in Northwich, all I would be asking is for the price of a gallon of diesel because the garage is a 54 mile round trip from where I live and a contribution to the garage rent which is £200 a month. The reason i'm asking is, if there's no interest I might as well give the garage up and save myself a few quid. Just a thought and I welcome any feed back :y

Fantastic idea Pete, and very generous!  :y  The has been quite a bit of talk on the forum recently about organising a cambelt meet or similar, and finding a suitable venue.  This sounds like it could be idea for some of our more northern members.  :y

Thanks for that :y

Its kept the bailiffs away from the door (just about ;D) for the last 4 years but now i'm living in Chester and the garage is so far away I can't see the point in keeping it unless its going to get used. :)
