Quick google shows local mobility stores in the Felixstowe area, Phone call to see whats available, another tap and the sat navs plotting directions.

Job done in an area you havent got a clue in 20 mins.

Good example of what a smartphone can do. All in your pocket.

"Bah, I don't need a mobile phone". He scorned. The family buy him one to keep in touch, sisters health issues etc. next thing you know, he's texting away, making calls, messing with ring tones and can't put the thing down.
 Smartphone comes out, "Bah, I don't need one of those, I've got Internet on a lap top...blah blah..." Show him the smartphone, web access, email, sat nav etc

Anyway...he's now running a top end smartphone, buying ebay items on the fly, pinging off emails, picture messages, video calling, and can't put the thing down.

Yeah Dad, you don't need one. Right.

He means decent integration with Microsoft Exchange, which is what most companies use to handle corporate e-mail, calender events & contacts.

iOS happens to do this quite well out of the box, I did have an Android for a while few months back. Exchange integration was fine for me, but I was only using it for mail.

Just been forced by work into getting an Iphone..much to my annoyance.

For years the trusty nokia 6300 was all that was needed to make calls and the occasional text.As have been with Orange for years they even reduced my contract down to £12=50 a month for a sim only.

Then 2 months ago the comapny that I contract to decided that they would change their entire reporting system from a Human to an App.This has ment that 6 of us have had to ditch our existing phone contracts and get this Iphone thing.

Good old Orange mobile wanted £159 to buy out the remainder of my contract and then an upfront charge of £49 with a monthly rate of £35 for me to us this App less than twice a week.

You can see where the costs have been saved by the Company in manpower and just passed  onto to the contractors.
