"Bah, I don't need a mobile phone". He scorned. The family buy him one to keep in touch, sisters health issues etc. next thing you know, he's texting away, making calls, messing with ring tones and can't put the thing down.
Smartphone comes out, "Bah, I don't need one of those, I've got Internet on a lap top...blah blah..." Show him the smartphone, web access, email, sat nav etc
Anyway...he's now running a top end smartphone, buying ebay items on the fly, pinging off emails, picture messages, video calling, and can't put the thing down.
Yeah Dad, you don't need one. Right.
