it has been several months I'm forcing myself on threadmill so that either I'll dry up on threadmill or have a heart attack.. ;D

and there was always a pain behind my heart less or more which I think is a blood artery some xx percentage blocked which I had no courage to test with doctors ;D  (I still smoke -for more than 30 years- yes I know I have to quit)

interestingly pain diminished within months so that I can walk (not run - running easy as you jump) 5 kms in 50 minutes.. also I can continously walk at 6.5 kms/hr (at least for 2kms)  and reach a peak of 7.5 km/hr ( at that speed my left leg muscles cant keep long )

more importantly , now I dont have breath problems at night, I dont have pain in my left pelvis and I dont get flue frequently :)

Well done Cem. Keep it up ..... don't beat yourself up too much about the smoking though. The more people nag you to give, the more I wanted to tell them to keep their nose out/opinion to themselves.  ::) ::) You'll eventually decide that YOU want to give up, and then you will. I smoked from being about 15 until I was 40. I've not smoked for the past 11 years (I barely remember that roll up at Newent 2011 - so doesn't count!  ;D ;D )

thanks Andy :) :y

Well done Cem  8) Im not likely to join you in a treadmil race anytime soon  ;D

I have started with 1 km .. yes 1km.. later I increased the distance and speed ..  imo everyone has to race with himself/herself..

and I learned that endurance and long distance is more important and good for your body, not speed.. I gave the measures just to reflect my effort..  besides I try higher speeds  to increase my heart rate as slow walking was not enough..

if you decide to walk on a threadmill  there are heart rate periods for age groups you must strictly obey that..    :y

thanks Kevin :) :y    I also discovered that AC DC can pump your heart more blood  and oxygen to your lungs ;D  seriously it helps your tempo..
I cant walk with sleeping musics ;D

my weight was going up every winter but this time no ??? and loose some but cant measure exactly as my body keeps water in changing amounts (kidney problem :-X )

Hmm. Not considered music. I do like a bit of Angus but, on the road, I fear it's likely to provoke either a road rage incident or a running out of talent on one of the downhill sections. That's going to hurt on a bike. :-\

Keep up the good work.  :y :y :y

I always listen to heavy metal music when doing 10 miles (16km) on my bike turbo trainer, usually Black Sabbath or Metallica.  :y :y :y

I was out on my bike at the weekend doing a few miles, but with our very cold weather at the moment it doesn't motivate you.  :-[ :-[ :-[

I find using heart rate meter to keep within a heart range, to see my time and calories used increasing, helps to keep it interesting and the motivation high.  :y :y :y

I'm a firm believer that keeping fit and active is one of the main secrets of a long life. My great uncle at 80 still did manual work every day and was fitter than most 50 year olds and lived until he was 98.  :y :y :y He also enjoyed his cigars.

Fortunately, I've never smoked, so have no problems there, but I have put on about 8kg in the last 2 years. I normally lose weight during the summer, but with last years bad summer it didn't happen.  :-[ :-[ :-[

last week I visited a hospital (sports section) the doctors there were making very unusual exercises with their patients ???  which I have no idea about.. as I see human body needs very different kinds of exercises and you can apply them at home anytime :y :y
