:y

Seen this as well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-Jaguar-X-Type-2-0-V6-4DR-FULL-SERVICE-HISTORY-/251248162124?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a7f8eb54c

Any auto box problems as im looking for auto , could get away with manual providing the clutch is light .

2.1 litre V6 with 5 speed manual box.  Very little room in back, based on Mondeo floorpan (rusty sills and inners!!), good point lots of parts are Ford and cheaper than the Jaguar parts :y

Mines a real Jaguar - there are pics of it on the Forum somewhere

Never seen a 2.1 v6,didn't even know they made one :-X

Just seen a couple on egay henry  :y

Just seen a couple online myself :y

If I was going to buy one I think I would have the 2.2 diesel, reasonable economy and more torque than the 3.0 V6 :y

Probably no worse than the equivalent Ford of that period,I'd be more afraid of the rot issues if I'm honest :-\

Im guessing the rot can be easily spotted  :-\ And if its just been mot'd surely the rot issue would be picked up and failed ?

On X-type,some engine parts at least[on diesel engines]are cheaper from Jaguar than Ford, water pumps for an example.4wd models can suffer transfer box problems and all models seem for some reason to suffer tyre wear issues.I own a '95 XJ6 3.2 Sport the only rot problem I've had is on the rear arches[they were going when I bought it 6yrs ago],apparently the X300's[and possibly X308's]can suffer rot of the alloy rear bumper mounts to the extent that the rear bumper falls off!
