I was thinking same, but the engine ECU never gets to see fuel gauge, so not sure how that could correlate to it only happening on low fuel...

either coincidence or a fuel filter issue that is now a crank sensor problem.

Right, on my way home from work and while on a single track road I pulled over to let an oncoming car passed, while I was in the passing place the car instantly just cut out. the fuel was sitting just at the top of the red and after turning her over a good few times she started and run as normal.

Any ideas guys.

Cheers

Shaun

Fill it up. Then every time you use 1/4 tank, top it up ::)

Might also prolong the life of the pump...

No petrol car should ever be filled up until the misfires start ::)

Hence, I frequently used to walk down the road with a plastic can in my hand ;D

Crank Shaft Sensor, just done the pedal thingy and code 0335 flashed, that's the only code that came up aswell. How much to fix and where is the best place to get a new sensor.

Done that more often than I should have myself :-[

Pretty certain that constantly trying to start it on fumes was what killed the first crank sensor and then the fuel pump :-\

Besides 21-22 litres of fuel still costs £30 regardless of which end of the tank it goes in ::)

Crank sensor - ballpark figure £60. Genuine GM only. Follow the guide in maintenance section when fitting the new one. :y

Vauxhall only if you want it to last. But isn't that the one code that doesn't mean what it says :-\

New sensor on its way, hopefully once I follow the guide and get it fitted then issues should be resolved. Fingers crossed. Can somebody point me in the direction of the fitting guide.  :)
