Its like many remade films - if you saw the original first, generally you will think the remake is a poor immitation, if you saw the remake first, you'll think the original has dated bad. Similar to if you read a book before seeing the film based on it.

I think, in this case, the original held better tension, but in the remake, Travolta does make a really good, believable hard ass, and singlehanded carries the film.

Can you tell I don't watch it? I could recognise Bruce F, obviously, and the tart who co-hosts, and probably the judge who always says "seevvveeerrrrrnnnn!" and the woman judge (Arelene?). Beyond that, not got a hope I'm afraid

And they are all poofs. I can't bare to look at them meself.

I can't watch it, it upsets me. Even if it had Leslie Ash (in her prime), I still wouldn't be able to watch it...
