I don't understand the aversion to Plod cars :-\

They are the perfect base for producing a car created to your own specification. They're available manual and auto, and being mostly white, they scub up a treat, but also a good base colour should you want to change it :y

Sounds nice that does Paul. The seats in the mv6 look the part for me. I like the leather but they look much snugger! :)

bit late arriving on this thread as usual ;D ;D  but  . . . .  I got hold of a set of elite leather seats  to replace the cloth

ones   in my FL MV6 . . . . Only had them in for 2 days    gave me terrible backache . i tried all possible combinations of seat

height & rake etc. to no avail .

Switched back to the MV6 cloth ones  . . .much more comfy IMO

Also on the MV6   vs  Elite debate  . . . I have had  3 elites  & liked them all  very much   . . .  but after driving this MV6  I

would definately stick with another MV6 if the  day comes when I need to get another omega. handling is from another world

compared to the  elite set up

I really don't miss the elite "toys"   & have fitted my own Tom tom  sat nav head unit  to the system  which was already fully

wired & bracketed to the car when I got it . Also great colour IMO  (Black)

But main point of this post is that   MV6 seats are so much better IMO  :y

Only down side for  me is the 2.6  lump  . . .    as always wanted a 3.2 . Like the slush box though ;) ;)

Yep, standard Elite leather is pants, especially if you corner "enthusiastically". No lateral support so your back does it all.

Is it just me that finds the mv6 base utterly dreadful then? The back is fine.

I had MV6 cloth in my 'second' car, didn't get on with them at all :-\ struggled to get in and out of them, fine once in them though...

Suffice to say I refitted the original ones ::)

I   used to get backache in all of my previous elites . . . it was not until I got this latest MV6  that I noticed  no more backache .

Should have sussed it about the MV6 seats being more snug around you  before buying  the elite leather seats :-[ :-[ :'( :'(

Kev's right  . .  standard Elite front seats are "pants " :( :(

As said Mr. Gixer   I don't really miss the bits that I have not got in the MV6 . . . .

Sound system is just about adequate  but not up to the Bose standard of course

I have Air con,   front heated seats , electric windows all round & have "cruise" fitted  ready to go when access to a Tech 2 is found .

So whats missing  . . . .  no sun roof     never used it anyway    . . .  ::)

No rear blind . . .    can't think i ever used that on any of the previous elites  :-\

No heated rear seats  . . .  I sit in the front so no problem there  ;D ;D

And have a neatly fitted & wired to sound system Sat nav

so quite happy really  :) :) :) :)

But sure you not the only one who "disses"   MV6 base spec Chris  :-\ :-\

Yeah not loads of support from the leather in my Cdx but I do love having it. My gls seats were very supportive weirdly. Maybe due to the low miles.
