Red calipers . .  very common here   . .  mine included  8) 8)  . .   every "chavtastic"   Essex boy has to  have those  ;D ;D ;D

I got a kit from flee bay which included  a spray can of brake caliper  cleaner , 250ml  of heat resisting brake caliper paint and even a small paint brush to apply it.

Done 3 sets of calipers  (12 ) 2 coats on each   with that one tin  :o :o   kit was about 12 quid as I remember .Loads of colours if you

not from Essex & don't want red  ::) ::)

Caliper decals also from flee bay  in choice of colours , under a fiver i think .

Calipers & decals last very well indeed  ;) ;)

Memo for TB   . . .   I think you can even  get a fetching shade of pink for TBE ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

blue is quite a sporty color and is less in your face, but with the FL elite alloys i doubt you see them as much as the old elite alloys.

Can you paint them (old or new), and what sort of paint do you need. I would imagine it would need to be heat resistant.

Any metal paint will do, calipers don't get that hot. The important thing, as always, is to ensure that the caliper is clean, smooth, keyed, oil and grease free.

I'd use the same two-pack paint as on the rest of the car, just like I do on engines.

Which brings me to the colour; black or wheel silver to hide them, or body colour for a subtle look. I don't understand why anyone would want to make something as ugly as a brake caliper stand out!

Really like that. Nice job  8) :-* :y.. Wonder if there's much point going to such detail and trouble with an Omega with the early FL slab Elite alloys..  :-\

We have blue calipers on the bimmer. I didn't paint them, they came standard like it with the 'M' logo.  :y

We've got black calipers and decals on the truck. Just tidies it up a bit.  :y
