I had my rubber trim come adrift the other week at around 90mph  ::)
I stuck it back in with a small bead of black poly sealant that i pinched from my last job. I've had no problems since  :y
Mark, if you have more problems, PM me & i could pop over with my sealant gun & we could sort it  :)

I really dont fancy your chances of them ever getting it right. just an idea but I know that some kwik fit places are much better than others, staff more experienced, inventive etc. It may be worth taking it to another depot.

I notice my meriva has had a new bonded screen at some point and all seems well.

Sadly just applying a little sikaflex isnt an option because the trim has been torn when it came off otherwise I would have done it already.

I pity the complaints department tomorrow!  :-X

While we're all KwikFit-bashing, I might mention that I looked on their website yesterday for a price indication for the new tyres I'm having fitted by the local garage today.

They ask for your registration number then come back with the car details and tyre size.

They said my 1999 3.0 Elite Auto should have 235/45 R 17-93 tyres fitted.  I think that may be the size for the get-you-home spare.

But I don't think they'd go too well on my 16" alloy wheels.   :)

Yes, well after lunch..............just got back  >:(

So, I get there and its 'sorry Mr Russell but we broke the screen whilst removing it so had to get another one in'

'Ok, so how long I replied'

'About an hour'

So, went back an hour later and its nearly ready.

Then the foreman walks in and shows me the rubber trim and how its ripped.

I said 'yes I know, we went through all this on Tuesday and you were going to order a repalcement'

Anyway, to cut a long story short they hadn't ordered a replacement and it had only just arrived when I turned up the second time..........and they hadn't broken the screen when removing it.

So, its got the same screen (saves getting yet ANOTHER OOF tax disc holder!) and new trims.

And I would rate it as an OK job, 7/10.................but, there bloody lying buggers, I hate it when they tell you porkies!
