Tomatoes are probably a bit big for those. I always grow mine outside anyway, though a bit late to start now I guess?  They are easy to grow, just need daily watering and weekly feeding (Tomorite type feed, but use supermarket own brand as its cheaper and just as good)

From seed, yes.....but from plants, no, which reminds me i must buy some plants  :)

Still worth taking down in winter :). The cover goes a bit brittle with the heat/cold cycles, and then the ties detach. Then the wind gets up, and the cover lands in your neighbours garden. Apparently ::)

To be fair, it's probably not the only thing you've had to ask to have back from your neighbours... bits of garage roof, tools...

Planted my tomato seeds on 1st of February and the bush variety I grow on in hanging baskets are now in flower so I should start picking them in the first half of July. :) :) The main crop are planted into growbags in the greenhouse and are about 1 foot high with the first truss flowers just forming. The rest will get planted outside, under the eaves of the house as where we live in a tomato blight problem area, there is no point in growing them fully exposed to the elements as blight always wins. :(

Planted sweet and chilli peppers at the same time as the tomatoes, none came up, replanted none came up, go new packs of seed and finally some plants, but I will be very lucky to get any peppers this year as they need a long growing season.

Cucumber plants ready for planting into the grow bags in the greenhouse and I will do this, this weekend. :y :y :y
