hi Al,    yer was thinking along those lines .  Pump pulls out of the grommet very easily . Seem to recall that usually the grommet would come away from the bottle with the pump when pulled out. End of the day  a new grommet/seal should not be much  :P :P

I had a similar issue with my Headlight Washer Pump as the reservoir would empty even without using the washer .Traced mine to the pump not seating into the rubber grommet properly.

Cure I found was to put a few wraps of PTFE tape around the end of the pump then push the rubber grommet onto the pump end.Then fitted the entire assembled unit into the hole in the reservoir and it solved the leak and hasnt lost a drop since. :y

Hi Andrew,  My pump seems a slack fit into the grommet  . . .  Will try the PTFE tape then . . .   :y

I had to buy one of those in the past. After removal could never get it to seal again. New one. And perfection returned
