On a serious note lads...

Just visited the safety store. Got full face mask and big Irwin clamps.

When my cutting discs arrive and I actually start cutting.... this snagging thing causing kick back.... is there a technique to prevent this?

Don't twist it and don't force it

Be aware that as you remove strength from the panel, the slice may close up behind the disc, causing it to stick...

Please don't take this the wrong way and i know everyone has been offering help and advise but by now it sounds like your getting a bit of a wobble which is understanable have looked at all the things that can go wrong.

I'd suggest that for your first time get someone with you who has a knowledge of using a grinder and can give you a few pointers. like i said if you were a bit closer you'd be more than welcome to pop over to the workshop for a few hours

Yeah it is pretty scary.

I think I'm happy having a go to be honest. Just not going to rush and take it slow and wear all my PPE.

Make sure you do, I used to have a reserved seat at the local eye hospital sparks eventually go rusty and really hurt

I would advise to use the attaching handle till you get use to the grinder , less chance of it twisting  A lot of jobs on cars are tight access so the handle has to come off

Probably but is only power tool i got for emergency removals
