How many pints are there in a US gallon then?  :-\

Hold on, don't they divide their gallons with fluid ounces or something?  ::)  :-\

1 US Gallon = 6.6 imperial pints ... or 8 US pints ... or 0.832674 Imperial gallons .. or 3.78541 litres

Their pints are smaller, so each bigger unit is too.


Hope that helps!


And a US quart is two US pints(unsurprisingly), and is therefore smaller than an Imperial quart. Not that I've ever heard anyone use that as a measure.

16 fluid oz in a US pint and 20 in a (full fat) Imperial pint.
