I had a white 2500S with a poo brown vinyl roof ;D ;D & stag alloys . . . thought it was the nuts at the time  with that wooden dash & nice Smiths clocks  , not quick at all  but so thirsty . . . died of tin worm  ::) ::)

A lot of those old brit cars look so small & so ugly nowadays IMO   :D :D

I had a 2000E corsair with rostyles & a big bore back box  . . .  look at a corsair now . . . WTF  did I like about that ? :o :o :o
.....as did mine, Al. :'(

My example was mimosa yellow with black vinyl quarter panels. No vinyl roof though.

It worked though!  :y

Just like British motorcyles.......when they went wrong (which they often did) they could be repaired by the side of the road, supposedly. ;D

Nostalgia at it's finest, you will be purring on about Austin Maxi gearboxes, the Princess superior wedge design and those icons of sophistication, style and reliability next; the Austin Aggro and Morris Marina! :P :P :P :P ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just nipped to the shops, and a young girl was turning back round at the same place as me, so as we passed each other, I politely suggested that due to the misty/foggy conditions that turning her lights on might be a good idea.
Her reply ............ I'm only going down the road!!!  ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? To which I said ...... so - when someone hits you cos they could/didn't see you, it'd be OK cos you were only going a short distance. The reason why she might want her lights on in the conditions went completely over her (blonde) head!  ??? ???

I was then following her as she turned off the main road and I got a hand gesture that suggested I play with myself!

No wonder with numpties like that the powers-that-be say we've to now have day time running lights  ???

That was cruel, I bet you made her forget the moves to make to get the fuel cap on the right side at the local garage! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Actually, being a Citroen C2, the filler cap would have been on her left  ::) ::)

There was nothing wrong with the Morris Marina especially in Coupe form with the 1800 TC motor!  :-*  8)
