I think when you buy an omega..you buy it knowing it is going to need the belt doing. And when your spending a grand you must buy knowing you are going to be chucking more money at it and thats gonna be pretty soon.

That one i picked up a few weeks ago needs money chucking at it to get it where i want it.. thats the way it goes. And i was well aware of that when i bought it.

Nitro said... when ever a decent looker comes up there's a bit of a feeding frenzy that kicks off And maybe thats why they end up going up to silly money..... It seems that once a decent omega pops up and is put in the publics eye for a while.. the chance of it being a bargain is not a lot

At the end of 2013 I started writing down costings of labour/parts etc,I frightened myself so much that I've stopped doing it :o  and now just write down what work was done in the service histories.....not going to say anymore :-X :-X

Could be wrong but doesn't it work like this, If an item has been listed as a Auction with no reserve while having the Buy It Now option for buyers, Now if a buyer was to bid it would automatically remove the Buy It Now option from the listing now that there's an active bid, But if there was a reserve the Buy It Now would remain till the reserve is met.

Quite frankly,I'll be glad when the bloody thing is gone, and with a bit of luck it will be bought by some numpty who won't worry about the care and upkeep that the Omega requires, then drives it into the ground and it comes up as a breaker before it's next MOT.More low mileage bits for the spares cave...jobs a good 'un :y

Seller is an idiot.

Sets his listing up to only accept paypal, only accepts messages from "prospective buyers" (ie people with gaypal), doesn't specify a postage cost or select collection as an option so even if you did try and "buy it now" you can't proceed!

And his excuse? : " I've had trouble with timewasters before "...  ERM NEWSFLASH : YOU'RE CURRENTLY WASTING MY TIME !!

And now it would transpire he's completely dishonest about it's condition too. Nice.

...hence why he's trying to get paid via paypal for it before anyone has chance to collect it, because he knows paypal buyer protection doesn't apply to motors  >:(

Christ did I blink and miss the service history :o and does this mean another round of 'wringing' the details out of the seller ::)
