I don't mind banter and ribbing at all, as long as it's clear there is no malicious intent.

The Admins/Moderators of one of the other (engineering-subject) forums I participate-in has just banned jokes, pictures and ALL 'banter'; lest it 'offend' any P.C/female members and open the forum up to "action" (unspecified).

I protested to them (of course), saying that I and other female 'forumites' to whom I had spoken, were certainly NOT offended in any way by the usual 'tone' of the forum`s content...but to no avail.

What kind of a "grey and shallow" society are we allowing ourselves to be become: too frightened of offending a 'notional' P.C/prudish social-group so that we may no-longer enjoy normal social interaction with other adults.

I believe that they both have done a lot of damage to the u.k. in different ways......debs the mods/admins on that site are obviously very stupid people.trouble is there are a lot of them about these days.
