Yep..5 years...50,000 miles...not one problem with it. When I posted up that I'd bought it in 2010, £12,500 for a Renault, six months old and only 6000 miles...the thread looked a bit like this one.

Good job I took no notice eh?  ;D ;D

5 years, loosing £9k along the way in its value. That's expensive motoring? Plus any potential APR from car loan, but have feeling you paid cash?

4 years since I bought the 3.2, cost less than 4 figures. Could sell it for what I paid for it, just!

5 years, loosing £9.5k along the way in its value. That's expensive motoring? Plus any potential APR from car loan, but have feeling you paid cash?

4 years since I bought the 3.2, cost less than 4 figures. Could sell it for what I paid for it, just!

Yes, but I don't let money rule my life, it's merely a tool to be used as I see fit. Car is for the wife, wife loves it, so money doesn't matter.

Oh yes, and you (mile for mile) have spent more on fuel, more on tax, more on repairs/parts.

Tax on this is £0 btw.

Steve.....you must be aware  you'll be given a 'verbal kicking' by posting a picture of anything French built on here. ;D

For what it's worth I quite like it......shame you couldn't have bought it in a shitty colour like the Astra though. We could have enjoyed endless hours of fun at your expense. ;)

I did look at a 'shit brown' one, they seem to be in vogue these days. It was slightly cheaper but had done 1200 miles....hardly 'new'.

Indeed ;D however, I suspect that Stemo actually quite likes Mrs Stemo, hence the bright blue choice...

Wifey doesn't seem to care about the car, she's spent half an hour reading about the medianav, wondering whether it will love her iphone and apple watch.

I would be very surprised if it doesn't love them both. Twice. ;)

Mile for mile yes, but not when you factor in the £9k you pissed away in 5 years.  ::)

Pence per mile it's cost you ~£0.18 - That's before any service bills, tyres, fuel and any APR if not bought cash.

It was bought cash, as has this one and, to me, safety and reliability are priceless.
