Thirded, May did impress me. I've been very much 'beige' in my opinion of her thus far. However, the political thing to do would be to say "we respect FIFA, and the fallen, however, we can't really say anything in one opinion or another, as this is not a Governmental issue, and cannot dictate policy to an international body blah blah blah" instead she's said stuff you.
Oh, they're wearing them, I've seen now, and if they get a sanction/fine, then so be it. If I were a player, and no-one else wore one, I still would. If they fined me a whole month's wages I think I'd be able to stand it, at a typical Premiership Footballers' Minimum wage. Maybe wait a week or two before buying another Bentley.
It's not political, as said, it stands alone as a unique 'thing' it's not in the same league as fighting cancer, saving the african kiddies, aids etc... it's in a class of its own, even above and beyond Help for Heroes and a dozen others that have sprouted up over the last few years.
