It's a V5 for an Escort Twin cam: one factory fitted with a Lotus twin cam, and therefore rare and expensive. Which means that an identity for one is also worth serious money.
Not that anyone would buy a V5 to 'upgrade' a lower spec car to make money, as that is illegal ::)

Comfortably. You might want to strap it down though :D

As the ad mentions, Wayne Carini owned one briefly, which had been redone in side as a display vehicle... allegedly imported to the US as a BMC dealer training vehicle... imported there from South Africa judging by the plates on it.

Be one for the collectors  8)

If you haven't heard of the Magnum you must be a young whippersnapper.  :P
It was basically the same car as the Firenza, but VX changed the name for some reason. Not a bad car in its day. Handled quite well, and a decent enough club rally car. But even with a 2.3 engine it was a bit too heavy/ underpowered to be seriously quick.

I had a Diesel version of that 4 years ago. Paintwork didn't look like that though.  ;D
