Till I found OOF I had never been on a forum, I had seen the odd one but never thought of posting. :-[

Prior to OOF I would sit and watch TV browsing in general, but mostly on ebay, only had the laptop for about a year, prior to the used the computer when I needed to but not into the evening much as swmbo used to moan a bit, it is in our bedroom upstairs, different story when she started using it though. ::)

Life before OOF, can’t imagine it now, swmbo half thinks I am having an affair with someone on here,  I see it as harmless fun, she thinks I am SAD ::) ::) ::)

honest, i've written a whole paragraph of that report...... :-/

yeah right.

that's 999 now
::) What report would that be MaxV6? ::)

a report on how contractors have completely bollixed up a million pound build , by not following instructions or checking they had competent staff to install acoustic isolation materials correctly in the music department of a new school due to open this september...

and how no matter what acoustic treatments i specify to control the acoustic response of the interiors of the rooms, they are never going to meet the specification laid down for transmission loss between rooms, or corridors..   and how that is in no way anything to do with us...   we were not responsible for the design of the rooms nor their build.. only the internal acoustics.

the sort of report that ends up in legal action....  time and cost over runs..  and a lot of headaches.

and pisses off a major contractor....    which might not be the best idea i've ever had, but is definitely within the remit of my professional duty of care...

indeed....   this is the second such report i've done this month....   Barclays bank's new AV conferencing and training centre in leeds is also screwed up similarly......

and at a similar cock up price tag i reckon...

i'm not sure which bit of my job i like less.....    pissing off major contractors, or recording voice overs for pokemon and Wii-sports

I use to spend most of my time on VVOC and ebay.

I now tend to find that its OOF and ebay!

I try to squeeze something in called 'sleep', not sure what it does, all I know is I close my eyes middle of the night, and then wake up in the morning feeling worse than if I just stayed up all night!  ;D (Im sure theres something wrong there!)

Nothings really changed much as I still do what I've always done since I've been single..........pub after work for a couple of beers, go home, cook dinner (or takeaway if I get "delayed" at pub), watch a bit of TV or read, then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. ;)

Most of my OOFing is done during the day while at work. ::)
