I rarely use mine, maybe twice a week. My daughter has offered to give me her blackberry as she now has one from work and has also just got an i-phone.
I was a bit too embarrased to tell her that i dont really know what a blackberry does,i just hope i can make an occasional call on pay as you go with it. :-[ ;D

Got a PAYG phone and £10 last me about 2-3 months. Always carry it when out on the road though in case of breakdown or emergency. :)

I must confess to being something of a 'tele-phobic'.....I dislike the sound of the intrusive/nagging/inconvenient ringing and calls always seeming to bring bad-news! :'(

......but, I do have a mobile, but rarely use it; except for 'emergency-use' (car breakdowns, apologising for lateness, asking directions etc.)......I never have understood the constant wish/requirement to be 'available' when working, thinking, reading, shopping, walking dogs or socialising.

....and my pet hate is those folks walking `round the supermarket tele-shopping via mobile; do you want "semiskimmed or whole?" etc......Oh purleeeease! make a blinkin`list why don`t you! ::)

 :o OMG!......`just realised: I`ve become a grumpy-old-woman! ;D

:-[ i feel in a minority. I can't remember the last time i didn't spend at least £50 a month on mobile use... and no i don't even touch Wap or other surfing ways yet!

i once managed 1200 txts in a month but usually it's more like 400.......

damn my fingers!!

Just had my bill through, allowed 300 free texts, i used 9!! I loved moby's when they were new but soon tired of them. I've got my own & a works one. They both stay downstairs when i go to bed, resulting in work & others moaning at me. Friends have got used to it now & use it as a joke that i can never be contacted as i see mobiles as the last loss of privacy or time out. If i manage to remember to take my phone to work i'll probably leave it in the truck!
I know i'm pretty vocal on here but i can choose to read replies/pm's when i'm ready. If you carry your moby 24/7 you're expected to be available 24/7.

partly the reason for escaping to the tin tent.....  Signal is p!ss poor out thataways, hence the escape from well meaning calls and best wishes... ;)

honestly i cant live without my phone, i need it for its very reason, its mobile, and i always need to contact people when i'm nowhere near them, or be contacted! had mobile phones for 11 years!

Handsfree is designed for those who need to use the phone, but also have both hands busy, so it IRRITATES me when i see someone using a handsfree, and holding their phone infront of them!!

DippyDave u have my sympathy.  We had to get a replacement phone off 02.., waited in for a week and after lots of expensive 0870 phone calls trying to get it actually delivered to the door.., gave up and ordered another one from another network.  Now they are trying to sue us for a contract we don't actually have a phone for due to their incompetence lol.

We just keep telling them to bring it on lol.

i lost mine last thursday night and feel absolutely gutted.

for two reasons, really. First it's a major part of my life that's gone and so it's a major PITA to not have it! Second, i got out of the habit of monthly backups (messages, contacts, appointments, photos etc) and so have now lost three months of data! It's caused me lack of sleep!

i appreciate this may seem extreme but i'm really frustrated! not to mention the hassle of getting a replacement. oh - my - god! bloomin o2!!

It only got lost somewhere in between putting it in my pocket at the end of work and getting to my front door so a 20minute window! i've quizzed all the staff, cleaners, put up posters and rang it for ages trying to find the noise.

still looking......

least i have a couple of spares for some sort of contact!  :y
swmbo will explain dave but i cancelled my o2 crontact while talking to customer services, " did you hear that click, That was the cancel direct debit on my online banking, see you in court"
