How to post a "Clicky" link
« on: 06 August 2008, 19:50:49 »

Hi All

On previous forums I have been on, people used to embed a link to a website in some text, like Danny's post, here:
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1218034168
Often, the word "Clicky" was used.

I like to see what I am clicking, I can still do that if I hover my mouse over the linked text, the address of the link still appears in the bottom left of my browser (Firefox and IE, but I don't think Safari does).

To do a clicky, do the following.
Start the link in the usual way by clicking the "Insert Hyperlink" button above your message text.

Insert the http address between the two URL tabs, your link should look like this:

Take careful note of where the square brackets are because they need moving.

First, move the right hand bracket in the 1st tag to the end of the address.
Then add a '=' in front of the first URL tag.
That's the link sorted.
Now add your text between the two adjacent square brackets.
Your link should look like this:

And this is what the actual link looks like:
Bandit's website

Hopefully the admins will be OK with "Clickies". If not, please shout now.
