Someones help is needed
« on: 11 August 2008, 15:44:02 »

hello,

i need a huge favour from someone who lives in the "BOLTON" Area.

I have found a miggy on Autotrader that is just the thing to squeeze past the fuel pump pinch. ;)

The problem is now, that i need someone to go and look at it for me, and give me the nod whether to go and continue with the buy.

If you do live in this area, and could help me with this then i would be very thankfull.
please pm me and i will give you the details, as i dont want to upset the mods by posting links on here.

I have been in touch with the seller, and all sounds good, its just the fact that someone needs to actually have a look for me, to make sure all is legit, and i am not going to regret it if i do buy it.
Thanks for reading. :y

Its in hand, any of you 2.2 owners got any tips on what to look for on the 4 pot?
Anything 2.2 specific or is it much the same as the V6?

Wear in no1 pot, but not easy to check without pulling head off.  HG failure not uncommon.

Rest is going to be normal v6 type stuff, or just needing good service.

An exhaust manifold????

Its not normally the manifold itself that goes (tho can crack sometimes) its the studs holding it in that snap usually.....

The manifold is longer than the V6's obviously....so tends to expand more at the extremes .....hence why no1 seems to snap its studs....not sure why 4 doesnt as well........it just must get hotter at no1 end....

had my 2.2 for over 3 years now, only thing few things gone wrong..

1) Condensor sprang a leak, got replaced.
2) leccy window motor gone (yet to fix, but with climate who needs it!)
3) Cam sensor.
4) Battery terminal is a bit weak

Only things to have gone wrong in 3.5 years & almost 30k miles.

Can't complain  :y
