MAF sensor no signal

Preparing X807, a 2.2 petrol manual, for its MOT. I have changed the catalyst, which I presumed would get rid of the 0420 fault code. I cancelled all fault codes, but reading live data there was no information from the MAF sensor. I swopped MAF sensors with my other 2.2, then I got data from the MAF sensor, but it read 17Kg/h, 1.00 volts, varying. Air fuel ratio sensor 1 read lean, so did air fuel ratio sensor 2. O2 sensor loop remained open.

How should I proceed?

Was the car up to temperature when you checked the live data?

On my V6 Omegas the lambda sensors flip rich-lean-rich-lean about very second. I expected the 2.2 would behave similarly. I suspect the MAF sensor or one of the lambda sensors.

Would it help to get live data from my other 2.2? With its original MAF sensor and the MAF sensor from X807?

I swopped the MAF sensors between my 2 2.2s. Then I got data from the MAF sensor, but it did not change the behaviour of the first lambda sensor, it still did not cause the gases to vary lean-rich-lean-rich. I put it back in the other 2.2, and then it did indeed record lean-rich-lean-rich.
I conclude I need a new MAF sensor and a new lambda sensor.

Is the Maf the same as a 3.0L, if so I've a couple here £15 posted.
