Sumps on the skoda are TOO low, Thats straight from a Plods mouth. All the scroats that they have to go after know this and head straight for the built up areas with spped humps. if plod don't slow down they lose the sump and it's contents :y

I have too many Audis to maintain.  Gone right off them.
Some of the newer ones are OK, not all, but anything from the 90's should be avoided!

Forgot to mention the Phaeton, an A8 with less to go wrong on it.  ;)

Hmm Phaeton... maybe, are they depreciating at an appalling rate?
VW not known for that are they? w12 engine tho... whats that , about 2 to the gallon? :)

A8 has tv/dvd/sat nav options iirc
Getting down into 10-12K region.

Phaeton has DVD sat nav option too, but not in problematic pop-up screen.

3.2L V6 should get similar mileage as the miggy.

A8 4.0TDi goes for barely any more than that, but you don't want it!  :o

I've had the astra for eight months now, and, as a runaround, I can seriously recommend it. It's a nippy little burger and 40mpg. :y

Must be a whopper  ;D

I'd have one over a Focus.... but after being in TB's Rover 25, me and small cars just don't get on!
