Hope they get well soon, Mark. :(

At least it's been identified. That's half the battle in most cases.

As Kevin said, most battles are won after the 'know thine enemy' bit.

Hopefully, it will all come good.  Best wishes to all....  ;)

Do not meanto cause more grief but it would seem it is bacterial rather than viral(so many people at roughly the same time)
If (and i hope it not,it is bacterial you also are at risk if you have been in contact with your brother recently.
You need to find out quick as to whether bacterial or viral.

Best wishes to you and your brother

Confirmed as viral yesterday evening.

To do this they carried out a lumber puncture during which a junior nurse fainted and smacked her head on the door frame as she went down jaming the door shut and with blood pouring every where.....

.....I tell you, with the NHS, you just cant make this stuff up!

Only just seen this thread Mark. It must be a very worrying and upsetting time for your family. I sincerely hope everyone makes a full recovery. Steve.

Not a nice procedure :(

I had to be doped up and mad drugs before I would let them near me to do that, so hard keeping still with rather great needles in your spine  >:(

All the best to your family  :y
