I thank you. Hopefully this thread can save some fellow Omega owners a bit of head scratching. A simple fix in the end but took me a while to get there.

Ooops - no temp display. Help from OOF was forthcoming - so I put a short wire from under the sensor to a nearby bolt to reinstate the ground connection.
Done.


My intention was to do just this but when I saw state of original dowty washers, it was only a matter of time before they leaked. Luckily banjo bolts opened easily, were in good order and cleaned up ok. Didn't go with extra earth in the end as I feared it might not seal under sensor as well long term.
