Drove to look at the latest 'Build your dreams' models on Sunday as Mrs Opti thinks electric is the way forward. I don't.

I'll post a couple of images later.

On paper that certainly looks like it has some poke. How were the interiors? I've seen reviews and the look the part, but I'd be concerned they felt cheap and nasty.

It's all very well being able to force a charge into a battery like that, but I wonder what it does to the batteries lifespan?

534BHP, I believe. But a top speed limited by nanny to a paltry 112MPH.

Interior was generally good with nice quality leather, but there was also evidence of shiny scratchy plastics in places.

Looks similar to a Tesla Model 3 to my eyes.......especially when presented in Wedding car white......Taxi white.... or kitchen appliance white as below.

Our chinky friends are quick to copy, then quick to learn.

They can go from a rickshaw to cutting edge technology in about a decade and a half.

My Uncle had a series of British bikes when I was growing up, Commando's, Bonnevilles etc and used to call Japanese bikes, Crapanese! 

Until one fateful day when he took his Bonneville in for service and MOT, and they persuaded him to take a Suzuki out for a test while they had his bike.

He came home with it and was forever after a convert. He then had a string of Japanese bikes and the one I really remember was a Kawasaki Z1000.

My first bike when I was 16 was a Kawasaki AE50, which was a great little bike that had been souped up. I could do nearly 50mph on the flat and could keep up with the Fizzies! 

My Dad made me put an old tray under it saying "Bikes always leak oil, and I don't want oil stains everywhere!" 

He was amazed that it didn't leak.

Brit iron had vertically split engine cases. The nips used horizontally split cases.

Even in the 1970's most brit bike design could be traced back the the 1930's......much like the Morris Marina.
