Raynaud's phenomenon
« on: 09 April 2025, 13:18:07 »

Anyone else suffer?  ???
Used to have a bit of an issue in cold weather, but now I'm on increased BP medication, even chilly weather can make the top joints of my fingers turn white.

I needed to google this.

I imagine it applies more to the elderly and infirm. So plenty on here will probably be familiar with it. :)

I don’t think I have the symptoms as I’ve never noticed a change in skin colour but since having my heart valves replaced, my feet (mainly my toes) and hands are like blocks of ice.  :-\
I’m on several tablets a day, Anticoagulants/Ramipril etc so just assumed the medication caused it. My uncle has had the same heart surgery as me and he carries a hip flask with him at all times, which he claims a swig from his flask warms his blood up enough to help circulation. I just thought that he had a drink problem.  ::) ;D
