How much more are we supposed to take from this type of scum before we start sorting it out?

Seems that things are a bit out of control at HM Prison Service.  :-\

I've been out of the Prison Service since 2020 after 24 years,to say that it is now out of control is an understatement, human rights are now the biggest problem that they have to deal with, also the accelerated promotion scheme which sees morons with a degree being promoted way above their capabilities . Glad to  be out of it & enjoying the pension I risked life & limb for.

I am reading an excellent well researched book on the sending of “ convicts” to Australia. Some waited years ( which didn’t count as part of their sentence on a prison hulk) before setting off. Often they were chained to another prisoner on the ship and/or had leg irons. Then on arrival they had 7 or 14 years to serve with lashing for any misdemeanours.  Some of the convicts were petty criminals eg had stolen food or a small amount of property.

The book is called fatal shore if anyone is interested.

I fail to see why, when the inmates are there to have the latter removed, and many don't fit the former category either. ::)

Would it be unreasonable to shoot them upon sentencing?

Careful! If Kier sees this, you'll be joining them in jail.

European court of human rights has probably got a lot to do with it.
