It's technically not 'over', but there is now a Memorandum of Undertanding (MOU) which has been signed (electronically) by the US and, hopefully, will be similarly signed by Iran in the next 48 hours or so. Israel needs to stop bombing Lebanon, though, or it's back to the drawing board...

There is no disguising just how big a blunder it has all been. Maybe the biggest of all time.

His party decried the Obama deal and yet here we are with a MOU , the straits of Hormuz to be switched off at will once the US entourage leaves ( as it surely will have to) . The wild card is NettingYahoo.

There will never be peace in the region.  Currently, it's all blamed on Israel's existence, but that's just a convenient excuse.

By their nature, Islamist states can never be at peace.


Trumpy has royally oppsed this one up though, and shown the US to be weak, which Iran will use in any negotiation.  Nukes, ballistics, ownership of the Straits, release of funds....

Afraid I have to agree with you T. B.

As long as the stated aim of Hezbollah is the annihilation of Israel, and Islamic State regards westerners as interfering infidels, there will be no peace.

So if Trump thinks he will get a Nobel Peace Prize for’ending’ wars that HE started,  he is very much mistaken.

Just my opinion…

Thing is, all the people judging and throwing their expert opinions around like confetti haven't made any attempt to tried to solve the situation, let alone come up with anything resembling a solution.

Has it gone to plan for Donald? Only he knows, but at least he's had a stab at it, which is more than most.
