Last time I went to Cornwall I was 22.  Had a wekk there and quite a few cream teas.

Found a service that sent Cream in insulted cartons so ordered some for the girlfried's birthday and for it to be sent in.

Got back and started back to work the next week and she phoned me up thaking me for the Cream that had just arrived (in July) :-/

Sorry, not curry but I can offer a good Chilli.

400-500 g of the best minced beef that you can get (make sure it is less than 15% fat)
1 yellow onion
1 green pepper
6 jalapeno chillies (with seeds, to taste)
4 large or 8 small on the vine tomatoes, roughly chopped
2-5 large cloves of garlic
2 tbsp light olive oil
1 tbsp tomato puree
2 tsp schwartz mild chilli powder
1 tsp ground cumin
2 vegetable 0X0 stock cubes
1 can kidney beans in plain water
2-4 tsp sugar to taste
1/2 cup of water

Add olive oil to a large frying pan
Rough chop onions, pepper and chillis. Add to pan. Add salt. Cover and steam on low/medium heat untill soft and a small amount of stock forms (water may be added). About 15 mins.
Push veg to outside of pan. Turn heat to full. Add mince, tomato puree, spices.
Sear mince, stirring occasionally. About 3-5 mns.
Add tomtaoes, stock cubes, sugar, water and rinsed kidney beans. Season.
Simmer for one hour or until tomatoes are cooked down and sauce has thickened.

The long cooking time tempers the garlic and chillis and gives a nicel balance.

Don't skimp on the chillis - they are there for flavour. De-seed them if you need less heat. Fresh vine tomatoes work best but you can substitute tinned.

My favourite meal and its packed with vitamins, fibre and lycopene.
